You are buying a piece of history.  So to add to that historial-ness, I
add free gifts.  These gifts were what the ladies actually carried in these
bags.  They also carried Opera Glasses in them - not included but you 
can get a pair at Amazon.

From the materials I used to make these bags I can see 
no reason not to hand wash it  BUT I have never handwashed
one so it is at your own risk with possible color running.  Definitely
no machine washing or dryer.  Air dry only.
